South Shropshire and the Marches offer great walking country and there are a number of local informal walking groups who welcome new members and casual visitors:-
Clunbury Walking Group
Meets every Wednesday at the Crown Inn car park in Clunton at 9.30am for a 6-7 miles walk, (sometimes less) aiming to return by 2pm. We are an informal group – so decisions on where we walk may be made on the morning! Also, we car share if transport is needed. Anyone is welcome (including dogs). Be prepared for climbing over stiles etc. and one or two hills. Contact Pam on 660447 for further information.
Clun Ramblers
Generally meet every Wednesday at 10.00am at Clun Memorial Hall car park (check diary pages on this website for any variations). Walks are generally 9 to 11 miles and can involve some steep climbs. Bring tea / coffee and a packed lunch. We car share to the start of walks. New members and visitors welcome.
