Campaign launched to bring better broadband to Shropshire
A campaign is being launched by Shropshire Council to encourage residents and businesses to pledge their support for bringing better broadband to Shropshire.
The aim is that every household and business will have access to the industry-standard level of broadband, with as many properties as possible having access to a superfast broadband service, by the end of 2015.
The Government has ploughed £8.2 million into the Connecting Shropshire project, with the same being invested by Shropshire Council, and the campaign has now reached a crucial stage. For more information click here.
March 2012 update
My name is Redmond Peel, I run Airband Community Internet that provides high speed internet in shropshire for business and the council. We have been asked to look at the possibility of providing services in your area for residential but we require a reasonable interest. Typically we provide 20mbs for £22 per month. express interest by emailing office@air-band.net or go to www.airband.co . we are willing to have a village meeting if that is of interest.
