I’ve only just found out and it’s the 11th today.

I have sat next to Penny on the Ludlow bus for well over a year and between us we have put the World to rights and had many a laugh at it too.

For me it was always a pleasure to swap stories about the old days, or where the best blackberries were, or when she had seen Red Kites …so… many small things that probably don’t seem like much to anybody else?

Always a smile, always an offer of help and….the world will be poorer for her leaving.

I feel very sad indeed.

We travel to Chester every other week when not going to Shrewsbury to have lunch, Chester are not withdrawing the concessionary Park & Ride passes they wish more people would visit Chester and avoid bringing cars in to the city ,unlike Shropshire Council

If the concessionary ‘bus passes are withdrawn, the answer is quite simple, I, and many others will cease shopping in Shrewsbury, there is an ample number of shops outside of the town, as it is, i only use the service to visit my bank, and only then on the rare occasions when I have to put a cheque into my account, this can now be done by post. In the final analysis, the council members will vote for what most benefits themselves.

Interesting you picked this up. When I typed the title of the post last night I did miss the g off wedding (I assume this is what you are referring to). I noticed almost immediately after I had posted it and corrected the error within a couple of minutes. I am no expert but sometimes it seems that old versions of things hang around on servers for a while before they are updated. If you understand what is going on I would be grateful for an explanation.

Is ‘weddin’ vernacular? If so, shouldn’t there be an apostrophe indicating a shortening of the word?

Doesn’t the church look beautiful? There must be some very talented flower arrangers in the area – a real joy to see.
