Scrumpers Donate £60 to Severn Hospice

Clunton Scrumpers have donated £60 from the proceeds of their recent Ceilidh to the Severn Hospice. The balance will be used to update the equipment required for the annual apple pressing in October.

New website contributors

We are delighted to announce that we have new volunteers who will be contributing to this website – welcome Jack and Harry. Look out for pages that will be of interest to the younger members of our community as well as the young at heart. Their Mum, Pippa, will be updating the diary pages and getting them ready for publication in a (sshhhhhh!) new Parish newsletter that rumour has it will appear around about the end of this month. You heard it here first but don’t tell anyone else!

Events List has moved

The new Events List, now rechristened the Events Diary, seemed to find favour so the old version has been trashed (excuse the Americanism). To see the new version use the Events Diary button on the right. If you wait a while you will see that this button is very slightly animated to draw your attention to it. Took me a while to work out how to do the animation (was it worth the effort I ask?). I could have made it all flashy and in-your-face but I didn’t want to create a major distraction.

The Events List

Diane has suggested that the Events List would be better if it could occupy the full screen width. I am inclined to agree with her hence some experimentation is going on to try using a link to an Events List created and hosted as a Google document. The link is in the Quick Links list on the right. Any comment would be welcome.
